Fatal Bus Accident Caught on Tape

A surveillance camera recorded a deadly bus accident in Queens. Three people were killed in the wreck, which was between a city bus and a charter bus.

In the video, one of the buses comes up to an intersection and starts to drive through it when it is hit by the other vehicle.

New York’s mayor said that the wreck happened incredibly suddenly, without any warning to those around the buses.

On the tour bus, the driver passed away, as did one of the passengers. On the city bus, everyone survived. The third death was tragically a pedestrian who was walking down the street and happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The wreck happened right around 6:15 in the morning. Though only three people passed away, a full 16 others where hurt. Some of the injuries were described as serious. Nearby buildings were also damaged in the violent crash.

The investigation is just getting started, so no official results have been released at this time. That being said, it’s interesting to note that this is not the first time that the tour bus company has been involved in a serious crash. In the past year alone, the drivers have faced a variety of legal citations.

This will be a very important case to watch as fault is determined, considering the significant injury totals and loss of life. Cases involving companies, not just individual drivers, can wind up becoming quite complex. It’s important for all of those who are injured and the families of those who are killed to make sure that they know what legal rights they have.
